More than a document, log, or snapshot
A document is evidence of a moment. An activity log may list actions without explaining property relationships. A snapshot shows a point in time. Those are useful. They solve different problems.
A DocuStay continuity record connects authority, recorded status, authorization, expected state, supporting records, changes, confirmation, uncertainty, and the next recorded state into a preserved chronology. When a transition was never preserved, that gap can remain part of the reviewable history rather than an invented answer.
Most property timelines are reconstructed backward from scattered artifacts after someone needs them. DocuStay is designed to build the record forward from the start, so the current state is the newest point in an existing chronology rather than the only surviving answer.
Relationships DocuStay can preserve
DocuStay can preserve meaningful relationships among the property, unit, owner, manager, tenant or resident, guest, authorization, status, supporting records, and historical changes, using the workflows available in the product.
Where supported, a meaningful recorded event should help answer what happened, when it happened, who or what recorded or authorized it, what the prior state was, what changed, what it changed to, what supporting acknowledgment or document exists, what remained uncertain, and what is currently applicable.
The value is the sequence around documents and events, not document storage alone.
History in customer language
Think of the property timeline as a reviewable history of recorded status, authorizations, authority changes, confirmations, unconfirmed intervals, and relevant supporting records. Teams can return to that history when people disagree about what was happening.
In ordinary product use, later changes add to the chronology instead of silently erasing earlier recorded events. The history remains useful even when people, assignments, leases, or authorizations change, because the prior record stays part of the preserved context.
Privacy and scoped visibility
DocuStay is not designed as one giant record visible to everyone. Useful information can be preserved while visibility remains scoped by role, relationship, authorization, and context.
Owners, property managers, tenants, guests, Live Link viewers, and Verify users do not automatically receive the same information. Continuity does not require unnecessary exposure of unrelated private details.
