What GuestGuard does

GuestGuard documents a temporary stay before the story later changes. Where the workflow is used, DocuStay can preserve who invited the guest, the property and authorization context, the defined authorization window, guest acceptance, a signed revocable license agreement, the primary residence the guest provided during registration, timestamps associated with those actions, the authorization lifecycle, and the preserved historical record.

The guest records their primary residence as part of registration, creating a timestamped record of what they represented when the authorization was established. DocuStay records that representation; it does not independently verify the address.

Real life does not fit a simple guest box

Real life can involve a friend staying temporarily, a family member helping out, a house sitter, a caregiver, a longer authorized stay, an authorization that later changes, or an overstay question after an authorization window ends.

Remembering that you told someone they could stay temporarily is not the same as a contemporaneously recorded authorization history. GuestGuard preserves the authorization record and timeline so those facts do not have to depend on memory alone.

Overstay context without legal shortcuts

When an authorization window ends and questions remain, a preserved timeline helps people review what was actually authorized, when it ended, and what changed. If the next status was never confirmed, that unconfirmed gap can stay part of the record instead of being filled in later from memory.

A revocable license agreement documents the arrangement. Legal status can depend on jurisdiction and circumstances. DocuStay records the facts and authorization history; it does not decide legal status, tenancy, licensee, resident, or squatter status, and it does not guarantee prevention or removal of a squatter.
