How DocuStay Works

Register the property so it has an independent place for status, authority, authorization, and history. Identity and authority steps help establish who is acting for the organization where those workflows apply. This is the starting point of a forward-built chronology, not a folder waiting to be reconstructed later.

Document relevant relationships such as owner, manager, tenant or resident, and guest authorization using the product workflows available to your role. Authority matters because the credibility of later records depends on who was authorized to act for the property, when that authority applied, and when it changed.

Keep occupancy-related status, vacancy context, authorization windows, and expected state current so the timeline reflects what was recorded as conditions change. Confirmation and nonconfirmation both matter. An unanswered confirmation request can remain visible instead of being converted into invented certainty.

As authorizations extend, revoke, end, or otherwise change, DocuStay preserves the sequence. Supporting records, acknowledgments, and related documents can remain connected to the events they support. In ordinary product use, later changes add to the chronology rather than silently erasing earlier recorded events.

When questions arise, use historical review surfaces, Live Links, Verify, and related product tools where they apply. Authorized users can begin with a chronology that was already being preserved, then provide supporting records alongside other documentation when a property timeline needs to be reviewed. Visibility remains scoped by role, relationship, and context rather than exposing everything to everyone. DocuStay preserves records; the receiving party decides what weight those records have.
